Surveyors Arrrived Today

Today the surveyors arrived in the morning to measure up the block, starting to think something is happening. We all went to the shops to do the food shopping after a nice Easter Break. Still too much chocolate in the house.

Meeting with Metricon

Today we managed to get one of the grand mums to look after Grace whilst Madison and Cooper were at school meaning our meeting with the Metricon salesman would be more focused for us. At our meeting we went through the final details for what we would like in our house, checking things like kitchen upgrades, the powder room with a shower, workshop to the garage and 2nd roller door through to back yard, the spa bath as per the kids request, brick upgrade to cat 3 bricks(Australs Symmetry "earth bricks) and the render to the columns and garage facade as per the popular Oakpark look just to name a few. All up it took around an hour with the salesman being very helpful and not pushy. We left feeling quite happy with the meetings outcomes.
The 149 certificate arrived also today in the mail from Hornsby Council in hard format. Will scan tomorrow and send through to Metricon. Now we could also expect a call anytime this week from the surveyors and Geo tech engineers to come visit carry out our site study. Progressingwell with this stage and are nearing the tender stage. All in all a busy and so far so good.

The Beginging

This weekend we decided now that we are finally committed that we should start making some minor preps so we starting with relocating the hedge temporarily so we can re-use them later. If the house is going to be moved off than we figured any plants and trees we have grown to love and paid so much for need to be moved to what is hopefully a safe place in the back yard. Its a little difficult at this early stage knowing what and where is actually safe. The kids had heaps of fun helping daddy. Madison was at a sleepover so she came home very tired. Ian exhausted but a very nice weekend to work in the garden. Meeting
Tuesday to go through final plans of what we need in the house like lighting and final touches for the final tender.
